Novice question by a first time pool owner. The first picture is in spa mode and second is pool mode. I have been to a couple of neighbors homes and have noticed that their pool returns are very noticeable in the pool. Very obvious from the water turbulence. My pool does not make near the turbulence, in fact it’s hardly noticeable unless you put your hand in front of the return. Should I adjust one of the valves?

Jw,

Show us a couple of pics of your equipment pad.. (I don't see any pictures...)

We need to see the positions of your valves, what kind of pump and filter you have.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Jw,

In your pic you are in the Pool mode, but you are sending most of your water back to your spillover spa and just a little to the pool returns.

If this were my pool, I would do the following on the suction side...

1. Shut off the Pool Main Drain or only open it about 5% (This will suck more water from the skimmer.)

On the Return side I would...

1. Readjust the automated Return valve so that it let just a little water go to the Spa return line (When in the pool mode)

2. Shut off the Spa water feature.

3. The above two actions will force more water out of your pool returns.

Questions about your pump speed..

1. I assume you have a VS pump?? If so, what speed is it running??

Question about your 'turbulence'. Where do you expect to see this turbulence?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Pool/spa valve actuator adjusted wrong, handle should be at 2 o'clock, not 11 o'clock as in the picture. What flow is left going to the pool is split between returns and waterfall. Amazing you feel anything at the returns.

You should enable SPILLOVER mode on your Aqualink and not run your spa spillover all the time when in POOL mode. You then schedule your spa spillover Toruń once or twice a day to refresh your spa water.

See Jandy Aqualink RS - Further Reading and we can discuss more if you want to do that.
