my pebble guy laughed at me when i brought it up. said they worry and do that with plain plaster but not pebble. then he scraped it along the pebble to reassure me.

i put the socks on after he left for peace of mind

Funny. The plaster guys were complaining about PebbleFina today in that it's pretty touchy. Not so much with the PebbleSheen according to them.

I didn't realize this until I was going to calculate the flow rate that the meter has a fairly accurate display. 21.7 gallons per minute. IMG_20190916_144008723.jpg
 
Going faster than calculated. If I am lucky that means the pool is smaller than I calculated. Anything else will be after dark pictures! :)

Oh, yes my "barrier inspection" passed today, of course, so it's just finish it all up and go into "polar bear" mode. The whole monsoon we were the only area getting rain. It drizzled here and now the NW side is flooding. So those of you on the north side of Tucson, you are of course welcome for us shifting the rain away from filling the pool.

I ordered another 12 tons of 1/2" Apache Gold gravel, so another $550 gone, too. Coming luckily on Friday afternoon so I can play the gardener again next weekend.

That is right at five hours at 27.1 gallons a minute. 5 * 60 * 27.1 equals.... Hmm... 8160 gallons... And it's probably 45% done... Oh well, so much for being smaller. The plaster guy today guessed it just about right... We will see the final number in the morning...

And I love this board! As soon as I complained about the lack of rain it started coming down. :)

Still I thought we'd be done between 1 AM and 3 AM. I dunno.... Maybe midnight now?

The last third of the fill will seem to take the longest - especially the later it gets. That little bit of rain you get will offset the amount of water used inside the house since you started filling the pool. Go take a cool shower, grab an adult beverage and relax a bit. Oh, and set an alarm so you don't flood the back yard. :laughblue:

Will read the actual cubic footage of water in the morning but 10.5 hrs * 60 min/hr * 21.7 gal/min = 13,671 gallons. Now factor in 0.25" of rain (measured) into the equation then my original calculation of 14,500 gallons wasn't too far off. Darn engineers, anyway.

But it's filled. Halfway up the skimmer. Gtg for tonight.
