Haha! They were awesome. The older two were out there until 9:30 digging, the little guy had about an hour until video games tempted him in. They said they had it almost finished, and I had to say they almost finished one back hoe bucket! They did sleep good though.

Equipment should be arriving today. Dig was scheduled for Today, but, weather got in the way. Most likely will be Thursday for the dig.

Beautiful Monday for a dirt hole! Guys came out around 7:30 and were finished by 12:30. Kept the kids home from school to experience the excavator at work.
Everything went well except the septic plumbing went right through the middle of the pool instead of around it.

Wow, what great dirt to dig in. Bet the kids were amazed by how good those guys are on the big-kid controllers.

I noticed you spec'd the variable flow pump rather than a variable speed pump. There's a fair few threads here suggesting VS is a bit handier to own. I don't know myself, but just think it might be worth the research. Oh the kids loved watching. The red clay is fantastic to dig into, but stains kids clothes easily!
From everything I've read so far, I thought this pump is a VS, as I can't find anywhere in the manual having a flow meter. It has settings for speeds as well. Not sure if that's right or not though, I could be missing something. The reason why I got this pump was for the higher capacity than the other 3 hp pumps. The XF model gives me almost 50% higher flow rates than the intelliflo VS.

It wasn't too bad. It was on the pump outlet so I just went and turned off the system. It'll have to be rerouted, but I was not expecting it to be there. Just another bill to be paid [emoji19]

Make sure all returns are put in, skimmers also. Any bubblers?

Rebar-seats, steps, etc...........sometimes they form the steps with the gunite so check with them to make sure they plan on doing that before you get too worried.

Plumbing and steel are complete. Now I'm getting excited! Here are some pictures. Let me know if you see anything wrong. We had to place the pump at a 45 degree angle because my power lines ran too close for him to push the lines out. I kind of like he look though.

It should hold for a while. At least overnight but I would think it would hold until you let it out. Why do you ask?

Here is your next "job" is to take your plans and measure your pool. Add about 6 inches for the gunite and plaster. Is it long, wide, deep, etc enough? NOW is the time to fix or change if you need/want to.

I just wanted to make sure the pressure testing for the plumbing held ok. I would think if there was a leak it would drain fairly quick. I just didn't know what the standard time to hold pressure was.

I was measuring and checking dimensions all day today. It looks like I will be good for everything. These guys did a great job. It was fast and efficient having both rebar and plumbing crews working together.
