Confirming electrical requirements

Hi all, we are currently installing an Above ground pool which my township follows Michigan residential code 2015 for electrical code. I understand the bonding of the pool. As I understand the pump has to be within 5 feet of the pool and the outlet supplying power for the pump has to be between 6 and 10 feet from the pool. It appears as though the Michigan code does not require a separate courtesy outlet, but it does have a section "E4203.1.2 Where required" that seems like it may be required by certain jurisdictions (I would have to check with my township.) I would also have to bury nonmetallic conduit 18 inches and use THHN wire in the conduit. The outlet would be GFCI. Can anybody that has done Michigan pool electrical confirm my headspace on all of this and correct me if needed? It seems as though if I do need a courtesy outlet it has to be on a separate circuit breaker then the pool pump. Which I do need a timer installed for the pool pump too. Thanks all!

I would ask the township for the exact requirements- on paper.
A courtesy outlet is always a good idea & easier to accomplish now rather than later.
You may want to plug in a robot etc.
It must be on a separate circuit from the pump.
Both must be gfci protected.
The pump should be on a dedicated circuit.
Your timer choice will depend upon what pump you have (120v/220v) & if it has a plug 🔌 or not.
