Conditioner entering pool through return lines.

After cleaning de filter, removing screens and cleaning out filter body, putting it back together, adding de then conditioner, conditioner granules have entered pool through return lines. Why?

There are a couple red flags here. As an FYI, you should never add stabilizer granules directly through the skimmer. Soak in a sock first and squeeze it out. But that's for future reference. The granules and/or DE could be passing through your filter either because a grid/finger got torn, or a manifold not properly seated inside. You may need to open the filter back up to inspect.
