Hi all,
I am a new user, hoping this is the correct spot for this post. I am new to pool ownership - we just moved into a house and have a 35-40 year old gunnite pool. I have noticed a large amount of "sand" in the filter of my Maytronics robot after every clean (pic attached). I do not believe this is from my sand filter as I have run my robot several times without having the pool pump/filter on and the "sand" in the robot is a relatively consistent amount after each cleaning.
When I brush my hand on the side of the pool, the pool walls feel "sandy" and I can feel it brushing off.
My current CH level is 125. I know this should be higher, and I will adjust it.
Is is hard to find someone who works on gunnite pools in my area (SE VA), and I am waiting on some calls back, so struggling for information at this point.
Does this seem like a low CH issue that more calcium would fix, or potentially a more major repair?
Thank you for any thoughts!
