Communication Lost - Superflo VS

Hi everyone, I’m new here but having the same 0021 code….thanks to all you guys been very helpful but still haven’t fixed my problem

Got on the phone with Pentair and that just got my bl pressure up lol
I have the Super flow vs with the same 0021 error code and tried everything that I found on the web which was more help than tech support from Pentair

Only new style Superflo VS pumps can communicate with Pentair automation via RS485. Tell us about your automation, etc.

Description for fault code 21 as shown in Installation and User's Guide. Have you checked the cable?

Communication Link between the HMI and Motor control has been lost: Remove the top cover from the drive and inspect the jacketed wire on the backside of the drive. Ensure that the 5 pin connector is properly plugged into the socket and that there is no damage to the cable

If your SuperFlo VS is five years old, it cannot be controlled by an RS-485 com port connection.

Has it been working fine and just now went bad?

Sorry, code 21 is an issue with the connection between the control head and the pump itself. Nothing to do with externally controlling your pump.

Sounds like your control head is bad.

Just want to make sure that you have actually tested the input AC power. Make sure you have 240 volts AC when testing between the two pump input connections L1 and L2. Do not test L1 to ground and L2 to ground as this can give you a false reading.
