Coleman pool, 2 intakes

Coleman 24 oot by 52 inch. Hayward de filter, 1 hp pump. Instead of using 2 intakes Has anyone done skimmer mod, with 2 returns , one upper, one lower return for better circulation

Sounds like a great idea to me! Make sure you put a valve on each one so you can regulate to your liking!

Just a note that a second intake besides skimmer is a good idea, to make sure your pump doesn’t run dry if something happens with skimmer.

That's what I did bu t make sure you have a fitting that wont suck someone's body against it. I used the screened fitting from coleman.

I want to do 2 returns back into the pool rather than 2 intakes into the filter. I will use the in the wall skimmer for in take.

That is what I did, I switched and have one intake and two outputs. Helps it have better suction to just pull from one place I thnk.

I think two intakes would be better. Pumps usually push better than suck.
I would think that way would give better circulation.

I installed 2 returns and a skimmer and a second suction to the pump. I modified the screen from intex kit so it would screw into a hayward fitting. If I can ever figure out how to post pictures I'll put some up.
