Chlorine test adding 871 causes to go clear but then back to pink after a few...

I’m trying to test my chlorine level and I add 870 and then add 871 until it goes clear but after a few it goes back to pink

What does this mean?

This is normal is does not mean anything. Once the solution goes clear the test is over.

Stop counting when the sample goes clear, then proceed to the CC portion of the test and again count until clear. You are then done, but the sample will go back to pink if you let it sit.
