Chlorine Help

Good morning everyone!
I am at a loss and hoping that someone here might be able to help. I have been using bleach for the pool for about 3 years, until last year when the pandemic made bleach hard to come by. I switched to liquid chlorine "Pool Essentials" that I got from walmart and it worked great last year. Well, this year that is also very hard to come by. I have inquired with my pool service company about converting to salt, but they can't get the equipment right now. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do when I run out of liquid chlorine?

Liquid chlorine and bleach are the same thing, just in different concentrations. I prefer liquid chlorine because I know it won't contain any additives that are bad for pools.

Do you have any hardware stores near you? They often stock it - Menards, Ace Hardware, etc. Farm / fleet supply stores also often carry it. Even some grocery stores, like (around here) Woodman's carries it. Home Depot and Lowe's often have it as well.

I have checked Home Depot and Lowes and they have been out of stock for about a month. So is walmart. I can get some at Ace, but they are limiting it to 4 bottles. Since 4 bottles will only get me through a week or so, I was hoping for a more long term solution. I really do not want to have to go to the store to buy chlorine every week. And I am worried if they run out too. Plus they are a bit more expensive.

I would love to use bleach, but it seems that there are so many versions of bleach out there now I just don't know what I can actually use anymore.

Can you update your Poolmath with current test results? Last test is from 2 years ago.

You may be a candidate to use Cal Hypo as you get rain and can dilute the pool some during the summer.

Menards, Ocean State Job Lots, HD, Lowes, Ace, etc.
Also check at the local janitorial supply as they may have chlorine/bleach.
