Cartridge filter blowing lines out.

Good morning everyone,

I am helping a friend close his pool and need some advise. Here are some pictures of his set up. How do I blow the lines out with a shop vac? Or do I need a compressor?
I read about purchasing a valve for the top of the filter.

Any advice is greatly appreciated

Blow from the pump basket for the suction lines.

Disconnect the SWG to blow into the return lines.

Remove the drain plugs for the filter and pump.

Follow the manufactures directions for winterizing the heater.

If the shopvac will not blow out the lines you may need a Cyclone.
