Cannot get a Chlorine reading

CL 0
pH 7.2
FC 0
CC 3
TC 3
CH 275
TA 70
CYA 70

Hoping I did these right! Of course, the minute I finished my testing, it started down pouring with a thunderstorm. Will that affect the levels a lot? Thanks!

It's late in the day here, and not nice out.

The CYA rest needs overhead sun for best results, so get us a solid reading at the first convienence that you're home mid day when it's sunny.

For now, the 70 CYA is ballpark-ish enough to use and at least we know it's not 200.

Right. I drained a bit of water and added the other day, and we also got tons of rain yesterday, so I had to lower the water level almost 2 inches

So to SLAM, I need to add enough liquid chlorine to achieve my SLAM level of 28, and then keep adding the liq chlor to maintain my target FC of 8? Does that make sense?

Lower your pH to 7.2-7.5 first.
Add enough liquid chlorine to get to 28.
Then, 2-3 hours later, test and add enough chlorine to get to 28 again. Rinse and repeat.
BRUSH EVERYTHING daily.
When the water is clear (no algae, dead or alive) and looks like this...link-->How Clear is TFP Clear?
AND your CC <= 0.5
AND you pass an overnight chlorine loss test (Link-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test)
Then you are done with SLAM.

Print the process out, read it three times and keep it with you, really helps. Link-->SLAM Process

Test it after a few hours.

Check your calculations on adding. Seems you over added a bit.
