Calcium chloride

Hello.
No matter how much calcium chloride I put in my pool, when I test the hardness, it stays very low.
has anyone heard of this happening?

Welcome to the forum!
How are you testing your pool water chemistry? Can you post a full set of test results?
If you are putting calcium into the pool water, it is in there. Unless you have a leak or large overflow due to rain.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
