Hi Everyone. I opened my pool in the first week of May and with your assistance I got my pool crystal clear and everything seems to be in order. My test results today are as follows:

FC 4
CC <.5
Alk 80
PH 7.2
Calcium 160
CYA 30

The first week of May I put gallons of easy pour Clorox into the pool. I since discovered that I should have used just the regular Clorox without any additives. Starting in the second week of May to the present, I have been using Home Depot 10% liquid chlorine. I have not added any algicide since the first 3-4 days of May.

When jumping into the water I have noticed more bubbles than there should be in the pool. Not a lot of bubbles but I am looking for perfection.

1) How long before the Clorox completely burns off?
2) Does the lower PH have anything to do with it? I am going to try and bring the PH up to 7.4 later tonight.

Thank you for your help.

pH does not cause bubbles. And I would suggest you not do anything chemically to raise pH. Aeration (swimming, etc) will raise the pH naturally.

It can take some time for the bleach additives to oxidize fully.

FYI -- Clorox no longer sells any bleach that should be used in pools. Cloromax is a polymer additive. Foams up pretty good.

Home Depot LC. They store it outside so that is one strike against it as heat degrades LC quickly. Check the dates. There is a number 18XXX on the bottle. The XXX represents the number of days in 2018 the bottle was filled. Look for stuff less than a couple months old.
