Breaker flips when Intermatic timer starts

I have a head scratcher here. My pool was completed in May with all new Pentair pool equipment. I have an Intermatic T101R timer that has worked flawlessly until just a few weeks ago. Shortly after the timer starts the breaker is flipped. I thought my pump may be the issue but I have a separate freeze protection unit Intermatic PF1102 and when temperature triggers the pump to start it never flips my breaker. And lately the pump has needed to run all night. As a side note, we have a combined pool and spa and the breaker issues didn’t start until the pool was closed with only the spa left open. So I’m guessing I have a bad timer. Any ideas?

Welcome to TFP.

Post pics showing the breaker that is tripping and the wiring on the inside of the T101R timer.

What model pump do you have?
