Brand New Pool Opening - Chemistry all messed up, what is the order of operations?

Overall your chemistry is fine except for high FC.

Your pH is fine and will rise with your high TA.

Just keep your pH in the 7's and your TA will adjust with it.

CH of 400 is fine.

CYA 30 is a bit low. Add stabilizer to get CYA up to 60.

Your salt is lower than the minimum for your Aquarite. What does the Aquarite display say for salinity?

How have you been chlorinating to get the FC to 17.5?

Get 5 pounds of dry stabilizer dissolving on a sock near a return.

Enable CSI tracking in PoolMath and put in your water temperature to see your CSI.

A few other things I should note:

  1. The pool company opened up my pool I think did a bad job because they dumped a bunch of chlorine and didnt follow the SLAM instructions. They dumped the following:
    1. 2 gallons of 'Mega Super Shock' - 12.5 % strength sodium hypochlorite
    2. 4 gallons of 'Pool Essentials Chlorine' - 10 % strength sodium hypochlorite
  2. The temperature of my pool is 67 right now. ajw22 - we're both in the same location, so you should know how cold its getting now.
  3. The pool company recommended NOT to turn on my SWG, so its been off.
  4. I already put 8 pounds of CYA on Saturday morning, so about 72 hours ago - Using the sock method slowly dissolving first in the skimmer, then in front of the return. Should I still add the 5 pounds of dry stabilizer?
  5. Also, between my neighbors and I, we've got about 50 oak trees, about 60 feet tall, so constantly dropping oak pollen and their mess. From the picture, is this the oak pollen or algae still dissolving?
  6. Finally, since the pool was opened on Saturday, the jets stop working about once or twice a day. I called the pool company and they said that its probably very dirty, so I should backwash for 1 minute and rinse for 30 seconds. Do this 3 times. After I do this, then add DE (3-4 pounds) to the skimmer to replenish the DE from the backwash. After I do this, the jets certainly get back to full power. Is this normal? Should I keep doing this? Is there another issue causing this?

Based on all of this what should I do?

Well that is why your FC is so high.

My pool is 69F.

Nice and sunny today. Going to heat the spa and use it.

My pool was opened on April 15th, and my SWG has been running since April 25.

No reason not to run the SWG. Your water is warm enough for the SWG.

Give it a few days to dissolve and retest before adding mode.

Not sure what you are asking but pollen does not consume a lot of chlorine. IT is normal sanitation.

Does your pool pass the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test? If not, you have algae clogging your filter and need to follow the SLAM Process
 
I've got a brand new pool that was installed last year around end of August, so this is my first time opening and using it . My pool jets consistently stop working every single day after about 16 to 24 hours. I know I've got an extremely dirty pool with stone dust from all the cutting of the deck and the coping from last year. When the jets stop working I backwash and rinse three times and then refill with the DE. I've done this every single day, sometimes twice a day since I opened a pool about 11 days ago . Once I do this step then the jets magically start working at full force .

Additionally, I drop a robot (Aiper Seagull Pro) in there three times a day to clean it. Finally, I've used the vacuum and I've set it to waste so that the contaminants don't go into the filter.

Is this normal for the jets to stop working every single day, am I doing something wrong? Can there be any of there causes?

What other solutions or permanent ways for the jets to keep working?

Logs don't have before 3 days.

You may have algae and not know it. Very common for your symptoms. Can you do this test and report results? Link-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

I performed the OCLT and it seems that I don't have any algae. FC maintained at 11.5. could it be just an extremely dirty DE filter? Would it make sense to completely remove the de filter, rinse it with a hose and put it back?
 
Also, not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I've had my SWG turned off for 2 days since I've had high FC, was trying to bring it down and it's also been unseasonably cold and a heavy rain last night. Do any of these factors play into consideration?
