Bleach?

When using this product…how would I enter this into the pool math calculator. Would I select bleach?

Yes. That is 10% sodium hypochlorite - aka bleach.

If you're not aware, be mindful of the dates on those. I've noticed most Walmarts have put out last years stock and a lot of it is 4-6 months old now. Get the freshest you can find. The date is a 5 digit Julian date code such as 22033 would be the 33rd day of 2022. Or 21297 is the 297th day of 2021.

I wasn’t aware thank you! This one says 22059. I’ll be sure to check that from now on. Got this one at Lowes.

Awesome! That's fresher than anything I've been able to find. It seems all the retail stores in AZ start the season by putting out all their old stuff before ordering new.

Yup. And much of the time it’s stored outdoors so it gets hit with lots of temperature cycling.

It seems like a scam to sell half strength product for full price. They should discount it based on the age. But I'm sure the retailers don't know or care about the degradation because most customers don't either.
