Black algae

Hello
I found a bunch of black little dots that resemble black paint that don’t scrub off. Leslies told me to shock with 2 lbs of Chlor Brite, wait 24 hrs and add black algae killer. Why would my chlorine show 0 after adding the 2 lbs of chlor brite? It was supposed to spike it? 20,000 gallon vinyl. I also added 25 lbs of calcium hardness plus.

Chlorine was FC 3.14 TC 4.45 PH 7.4 ALK 120 Phosphates 153 CYA 37

I checked chlorine just to see how high it made it like 4 hrs after adding it. I used Taylor kit and strips and both show 0

How much should the chlorbrite have increased the FC?

Can you provide a much more clear and detailed explanation of everything?

What exact test kit do you have?
