Anyone know of a way to continuously scare the birds away from my whirlpool spa. I can't stand out there all day.

I have the exact same issue. I'm constantly cleaning poop off the spa wall right at the spillover (which apparently their own personal water fountain) 
I bought an owl with a bobble head from Home Depot yesterday and set it right where they hang. There was a bird standing ON ITS HEAD within about an hour of me setting it there.
