Recently had our pool re-plastered on 4/19.. pool was here when we bought the house 2 years ago and it was painted, so that was a nice extra expense the previous owner left us for water blasting. When we bought the house and had an inspector check out the pool, he estimated it to be 25k gallons. After the plaster was done, I had 2 tanker trucks of water delivered which was supposed to be 10k gallons total, and then timed how long it took to fill the rest by hose and I came out with it being more close to 18k gallons.
My neighbors recently had their pool redone last year so I just called the company that did theirs directly instead of going through my normal pool maintenance company or a builder, so I was pretty much on my own for startup since no one really wanted to touch it until after a month for warranty/liability reasons. After reading these forums for a while, I went with a Bicarb Startup and now that I am almost 10 days out from the replaster and pretty much just adding MA everyday, I wouldn't mind getting another set of eyes on my numbers to make sure I'm not missing anything.
10k Gallons by truck (Didn't get to test)
8k Gallons by hose (estimated)
PH - 7.2
TA - 50
CH - 125
Re-plaster done on 4/19.
CSI seems to be in the +0.3 - +0.5 range most of the time, or pretty close to it. Do I just keep doing what I'm doing? Should I be raising my CH at all? Do you think I'll need to add more baking soda as my TA keeps getting lower?
