is it better to add daily chlorine directly to pool or dilute it in bucket water and then pore in, and best spot pore it in is in front of the return jet correct?

No need to dilute. Just one more step to spill it or get it on you. Just pour in a slow stream in front of a return jet. If you want to be sure it is mixed grab your pool brush and push the water around in that area for a few times.
