Best shock for salt water pool?

Anything I've seen here would indicate that a form of liquid chlorine is best, regardless of SWG. Whether it be a liquid shock or bleach (no additives). The only SWG specific chemical recommendation I have seen is to use muriatic acid and avoid dry acid for lowering PH when there is a SWG in place. You'll want a good test kit to determine current levels and monitor your FC levels

J2,

If you are talking about "shocking" your pool on a weekly basis, then the answer is "none"...

If you follow the TFP process you will never have to "shock" your pool again.

I have three saltwater pool and have never added a single bag of Pool $tore shock in the past 8 years...

All you need to do is keep your FC and CYA at the recommended levels per this chart (see saltwater section)... FC/CYA Levels

Thanks,

Jim R.
