I have a 2004 model Arctic Spa, we have only used Baqua Spa products and sanitizer since new.
There was quite a buildup of biofilm in the plumbing which I am in the process of purging with Ahhsome.
Would chlorine be a better choice moving forward?

Chlorine or bromine seem to be better spa products then baqua

Yes...and a lot cheaper too.

Dichlor is good in a spa to establish or replenish the CYA level, but once a proper level is reached liquid chlorine is the best option.
