Backwash not working anymore?

Little history on my situation - Purchased a home where the pool sat without a cover and unused for 3 years. The pool is 15 x 34 ft rectangle and roughly 15,000 gallons. There was a LOT of debris I've been pulling out.

I would run the pump on and off to circulate the water. After initially backwashing, the pressure was 15psi. It would climb to 19-20psi over a day at which point I would backwash for 3 minutes. This has been done 6-7 times over the past week.

Now when I have the valve in the backwash selection, pressure will hold around 26psi with barely any water coming out of the backwash hose.

Valve damaged? Media tank full?

Based on the somewhat questionable history of that pool after sitting for so long, it might be either or a little of both. You might find yourself getting into both actually. Inspecting the spider gasket and related parts in the multiport valve, and inspecting the sand. If the sand is still good (doesn't seem clumped or gooey from pool store junk), do a sand deep clean. It might need that anyways.
