Automation manufacturer selection

Hi All,

A friend of mine just had their pool built. The builder told them an automation system was not compatible with their equipment. Unfortunately, they were not aware of his lack of knowledge on pool automation. They got a Pentair Superflow VST and a Hayward 50K Heat Pump.

Now the question is, should it be best to use a Pentair automation system and integrate somehow the heat pump from there or use a Hayward automation system and work around the integration of the pump.

Based on your recommendation I will try finding them an appropriate installer.

Thanks

99,

They just picked the wrong pump. The SuperFlo VS is not really compatible with any automation system. This is because it does not have an RS-485 communication port.

Are you sure the pump is a SuperFlo and not the required IntelliFlo pump, which is made for automaton..

Almost any automation system can control any heater/heat pump using the fireman's switch.

Thanks,

Jim R.
