Take the white nylon strap off and check the shear pin. The pin is there to break and not something more expensive.
Look at Fig 5 below. Mine uses a 1/4" x 2". My cover runs on top of the concrete so there is a lot of drag. Sometimes I need to replace it once a month. Sometimes once a season.
I buy a box of 100 on amazon and use a 1/4" roll pin punch.
This model uses a stainless steel shaft. It’s in there. It just looks like the mechanism got stuck on the left side and does not have enough room to shift to the right.
Can I wedge it over with a flathead or is there a better way?
