In almost 9 yrs, anytime I saw bubbles in my filter basket window, it was due to the top not being torqued all the way tight. Well, I turned it all the way left that I could, and still saw small bubbles. Pulled the top off, removed the gasket and applied some silicone grease. Put back together and fired up the pump. The bubbles slowly dissipated to zero.
So, if you have bubbles all of a sudden and all else fails, add some silicone to the gasket, Better yet, apply some every 1-2 yrs and you will avoid the issue. Just thought I would pass it on...Hope everyone has a great summer - tstex
