Installed the spalink rs ~ 15 years ago when we built our pool/spa. Everything still works fine (the key to longevity on a flat mounted unit is to ensure the drain for the opening works properly). Over the years, the led display has gotten hazy making it difficult to see in daylight (night is fine). It looks to be made out of a pliable silicone type material. I’ve dressed it with mineral oil which helps but only lasts a few days when spashing washes it off. Don’t want to buy a new one until this one dies due to cost and effort to pull a new control cable. Any thoughts?
