Another Pool Build in Cypress, TX

Wendy: You are so right about the color changing gradually. I took a picture yesterday for that very reason and was shocked at the difference. It has really changed.

I know I'm going to love the color. When I got home from shoppingyesterday and saw the color, I thought how beautiful. I think the paleness has something to do with the bright sun and my eyes staring at the water so long. I figured out yesterday she only looks pale when I'm in the pool brushing and constantly staring at the water.

And Wendy, I think a pool is a lot like a new baby. Right now she's taking a lot of care with several feedings a day of chlorine and brushing. And I would be hurt too if someone knocked my pool. Your pool color is amazing! I agree, she needs her eyes examined!

Well, off to test and feed the 'baby' - I mean pool!
Suz.

Suz,
I haven't figured out how to do a partial quote on this AP.
But to answer your question, I am in my 22nd year of teaching/counseling. I taught math for 8 1/2 years before becoming a school counselor. (I think I also taught English along with math my first year.) I finished my doctorate in Leadership in November. I have no idea why I wanted that so badly! Especially, since I plan to retire in 3-5 years. I am beginning to have various mobility issues and am hoping the pool will reduce those issues. I still enjoy working, but realistically, I'd like to have more time for myself. I'm happy to hear that you are busy. That has been one of my fears with retirement. [emoji3]

That is so cool. I thought I would either go into private counseling or teach online classes at a university, but not sure... I think I'll want to do something. [emoji3]But according to Suz, I may be too busy. [emoji3][emoji3]

I wish all you retired teachers lived by me, I would hire yall in a second! I own a cognitive therapy and academic tutoring center in the Dallas area.

I wish yall retired teachers lived by us. We own 3 teens and they need a kick in the arse by some good ole fashioned teachers not these "domesticated" ones they seem to have now a days in school here. It's really getting frustrating. Do you know they don't even grade homework anymore? Sorry to get off the topic of pools. [emoji6]

Suz, you are going to love it! It just gets better and better!!!!!!!!

I LOVE my pool!!!

Wendy,
I am so glad to hear that you love your pool. I have almost lost sight of the goal during this process. I'm sure all construction projects are similar. But honestly, mine has gone very smoothly. So I'm really hoping to get excited and focused on the pool again rather than the construction process and steps. Does that make sense?

Y'all are kidding right???????? NOT here! If you do the work it gets graded AND if you do not do the work you get a BIG, FAT 0!

Not only do we have spelling tests BUT they also have to use the word in a sentence!

Got to love rural schools!

You can't give kids a 0 here. They have to be able to make anything less than a 70 up. [emoji15][emoji15]

So kids are passed along then fail state tests and can't do **** for themselves when they graduate.
Sorry hot button issue for me

It might be a Texas thing but we were told its because they worried the parents do the work and the kids get the credit. I retired here so it wasn't like this in other states I can tell you that.

It's this no child left behind stuff that's doing its best to allow America to be left behind sadly.
