Another Pool Build in Cypress, TX

Hey Suz,
Not sure if you have seen these videos, but they were helpful to me.
Choosing a Water Color - YouTube
Advanced Water Color Principles - YouTube

Also,
if you double click the swatches on this page, it shows a pool with it installed. I know these are liners, but it really helped me to see what small changes in color, finish, surrounding can do to the pool water color.
In-ground Pool Liners | LOOP-LOC

for example if you look at Serenity and Torino, they both have the same bottom just a different top but the water looks very different. One is surrounded by sky and white decking, the other has a warm beige deck, and plantings and picks up some green tones.

More progress! I'm so excited - I think this is beautiful. I'm glad we had enough tile to use on the spa benches. For some reason, he wanted to start today on the benches, so I'm not sure if we will have enough to use on the sun shelf. I love this so much, I don't care!

I don't see how he stoops on the two bricks for so long. I could never do that. He was getting too hot, because for a while the sun was beating down on him. We got a fan and set it by the spa, so I think it's helping. So far during this build, there's been so much cloud cover the guys haven't been terribly hot. Today is bad.

Not to derail, but if anyone does get together with another TFPer that would be very cool. I drove to Louisiana last year and was going to stop and party with WoodyP, but timing didn't work out right. I've made a friend here who lives close and we been at each other's pools a couple of times now. It just seems like the neighborly/Texan thing to do.

Gosh, these are really good links on pool color decisions. Not to advertise any one type or branding, but is there a board to hold these links or is it taboo? It would be pretty nice to have handy for reference. I know I wrestled with the pool color decision for several weeks just like others, and is how I actually found Trouble Free. I didn't even think to look at You Tube, but search PB sites and just by chance found this forum. I was just looking for more documentation before providing the color decision to the PB then got hooked on all the design and problem solving discussions.

it's so gorgeous! i'm sure it's even better in real life and with the shining of the sun!

Thank you, Outdoorsgal!! I may be partial, but I do think it looks better when looking out my windows than in a photo. And when I see the sun out, I run to the windows to see which parts are sparkling! I guess that will slow down as I get used to it. But right now, it's so exciting.

That tile is so beautiful, I adore the blue and shimmer.

Ascew, I'm with you - it's the shimmer I adore. I like the blue, too, but the shimmer..... (which means, I probably could have gone with almost any color!!! And all that back and forth over colors!) I've been reading your thread, so I apologize for not posting yet. I've gotten behind! I'll get there soon. Your property is amazing!

WOW!!!!!!!!!

It is just GORGEOUS!!!!!!

Wendy, nuff said, right?! That's how I feel about the tile! Thanks! I'm finally feeling like it's going to make me smile when I look at it and swim in it! Well, swimming in just about any water makes me smile, but this will be different. It will be MY pool for the first time ever!!!!

Looks beyond amazing - even better than it sounded - you must be thrilled! Can't wait to see it with the water...

We are thrilled! Thanks, Karynkjd! I'm getting eager now for the water in the pool. But I really would like to have the decking in first, so a little more patience!

WOW! That is SO pretty! You will have a true jewel of a pool when he is done!

Kim (I wonder how much plane tickets are from Florida to Texas????? LOL)

Kim, thank you! When I decided to buy some of this tile, that's exactly what it reminded me of - jewelry! I would love to share it with ya' one of these days!

Suz, that looks stunning. I can't wait it see it filled with water.

Wow! Stunning - never thought I could have a hand in creating something stunning. Thank you, Gooseafcrna!

Wow, Suz. I love the blue tile and so many details. It's going to be very beautiful.

Thank you, Vitzar! There are a lot of details - maybe too many. With this being my one and only shot at a pool, I got a little carried away!!! LOL!!
