The tile guys sealed it. Should be done by default if they are a good crew. It appeared to be regular tile sealer, like what you would use if you tiled a shower.

As I mentioned before, I tried everything and could not get the plugs of the skimmer out. I chased a few plumbers to come and but nobody came. Finally I decided to call Paramount which is the manufacturer of my skimmer (Paraskim) and ask where do I find the tool. To my surprise they asked my name and address, sent me the tool (free of charge!!) and it arrived today. Using the tool, a wrench, a long screwdriver and some elbow grease, both plugs are now out. Venturi installed and I can see gunk being pulled into the basket. With that I can now officially say the pool is built and done! Pictures of the pool in use to follow when weather permits.
