I have air in my pump and can hear it in the multi valve. Just bought the house last fall. Was told the pump plumbing is new. Doesn’t look that new to me. I’m planning on cutting everything out and replacing. I have 2 2 port space savers and 1 3 port Jandy valves, I just purchased. I plan on using 1 of the 2 set ups. My suction hoses are close together. What is the best way to plumb these ? Return side looks basic. replaced the cover gasket and I still see a few drops of water spit out when I shut it off. Where water spits out on shut off, air gets sucked in while the pump is running.

I would get this properly sealed before tearing into anything else.

Have you put Pool Lube - Further Reading on the pump cover O ring?

One of my return pipes after the split near the ground has a crack. It was spraying out so I patched it to get by. The skimmer side I can run it with no air in the pump basket. I can hear air in the multi port valve. If I turn on main drain and shut off skimmer lots of air in the pump basket. Both shut offs turn easily and one handle is broken in half. I have not tried pool lube yet. I used silicone to glue down the gasket and a clear grease I had on the cover. I’m a truck tech and did it the way I know. I have a spare gasket if need be.

Also noticed 2 drips at the multi valve. At the fittings for suction and return. I can’t tighten the fitting due to a 90 deg pipe.
Multivalve is all on the pressure side.

Show me pictures.

I just shut it down and did a backwash due to all the pollen getting sucked in. Noticed a few drips from the skimmer ball valve.

Would need to see a zoomed out picture to see what he's working with but before he needs to by a new mpv that is when he does work on correcting the drips I'd recommend using hose clamps around the mpv ports because I see lots of them crack/split.

@1poolman1 @wireform how would you tackle these drips?
Top fitting is ruined as it is in the port too far. A lot of Teflon tape and then some silicone sealant may stop the drip if it from that pipe. A better option is to replace the male adapter with a new one.
Lower one could probably be removed and resealed as there is a union there. Teflon tape and silicone sealant is what I've used for 30+ years.

No cracks or splits in the valve.
