I’ve never seen mine do this. Is that a problem with the original Surfer? The basket design was changed on the S2…wonder if that’s why?Can you start a separate thread on the S2. I would love to hear about its performance.
Most importantly I am interested if it dumps out some debris while going in reverse. Also how well does it get to the whole pool.

I just got my Aiper Surfer 2 and so far I love it. To answer your question about debris dumping in reverse, mine has not. It has a flapper door keeps debris from coming out. I have a very simple pool, no steps or ledges. At first it didn't bother with the skimmer, but then it was sideways right in front of the skimmer. It came with a pool noodle which I then put in the skimmer and haven't had any problems since. It gets the corners and edges and so far it's been great. It's just so shocking to find the pool looking pristine without us having to skim it. Edit: one other thing I forgot to mention is that it has an app for your phone if you're interested. I'm not a big app person, but I decided to try it. It doesn't do a whole lot, it keeps track of how many cleaning hours it's done each time it's started up, or logs that show a total use time. It does have where you can put it in standby if you wanted. But what I like is the remote control on the app. It works great if you wanted to move the skimmer to a particular spot. I don't see using it much but right now it's kinda funCan you start a separate thread on the S2. I would love to hear about its performance.
