AGP light advice

I have a 24x54 AGP with aluminum sides. I'd like an underwater light or two, but I'm overwhelmed with all the possibilities and don't know where to begin.

Here is my "wish list" for the lights:
1. I don't want to cut any holes
2. I'd prefer L.E.D. (preferably with the ability to change colors)
3. Low maintenance and idiot-proof installation
4. Durable and reliable
5. SAFE!

Does this product even exist? Any help/direction you could provide would be appreciated.

I was never able to find any temporary type AGP light that didn't seem to be a waste of money. I hope you have more success than I did. If you ever do consider installing a through-wall light, there are some decent options. The requirements for that is draining a foot or so of water and using a drill and hole saw. Actually fairly simple to do in under an hour in most cases.

So last night I put some batteries in the light and tossed it in the pool. It has a small (3/4") magnet on the inside that will hold it onto the steel wall, but just barely. It comes with a steel plate, but I'm not sure if it's strong enough for an aluminum wall. The light is waterproof and I put it below the waterline. It does light up a good area. This shot has the light about where the round meets the straight section on my oval pool. it lights up the end fairly well. It's not overpowering and just the water is lit up.
I did try to put it on the end-end opposite from the steps. It actually lit up the whole bottom. I didn't grab a pic because my camera phone didn't do it justice and you couldn't see much in the pic. I think I'm going to leave it in the end near the stairs like in the pic. It will light the stairs and that end and leave a dark end as well. You can change the color effects with the remote. The pic is with just white light. Red light barely lit up anything. The remove does need to be very close if the light is under water though and I dont think the remote is waterproof. I'll see how well it holds up.
I will say that that light does show all imperfections in my liner bottom...

We used the same lights when we had our Intex and it worked well enough until it didn't. We just considered it a once per season purchase, because they don't last and eventually are water logged, but for $10 you can't complain. Our problem now is that we have a Radiant pool, so the wall is thick and thus the magnets wont keep it stuck to the pool. I am not sure what to do about that. I tried a few things last year but failed. I'd like a more permanent solution, so if anyone has any other ideas I am all ears. I am very against the idea of cutting a hole and with the flexibility of LEDs these days, there has to be a better way! Thanks!

I ordered one of those small, remote-control LED lights from Amazon. It should be delivered today. Since our pool is all aluminum, I plan to zip-tie the included steel plate to the side of our stairs and connect the light to the plate with the magnet. I'll let you know how it works.

We have this one... we are on our second season and it still works fine. I need 2 though as it isn't bright enough to reach across the whole pool.

I have had a smart pool nightlighter for 3 years now and it works well for my pool. I put an LED bulb in it and tossed the halogen bulb that it came with in the trash. You need to pull a top rail to install it and there is no draining or cutting of the pool required.

I think that is what mine is but it’s the multi light. Wonder if I can change the bulbs to brighter ones?

You state here, for through the wall lights there are some decent options, can you tell us some of the lights by name and brand so we can look at them. My pool is not up yet and would like to shop for them now before the water goes in. Thanks
