Hi I got a Pentair pool pump replaced with Afras 2020vs 2.0 hp in 2021 as I was having hard time finding other pumps in stock and got a that at a reasonable price. Now in just after two years pump started leaking and looks like need a new seal. But, not able to find replacement seal kit for Afras pump. Anyone have any suggestions? Tried contacting the distributor that sold me the pump and manufacturer, haven’t had any luck yet.

I got in touch with the manufacturer. They suggested changing the O-ring. I did that. It got better. Please see the before and after pictures. It has gone from squinting to small leak at high speed. Any suggestions? I tightened it with hand almost as tight as I can. Worried a bit if I tightened it more may damage it.

Try another O ring.
Did you putting Pool Lube - Further Reading on the O ring?
Do not over tighten O rings. Over tightening will cause an O ring to bulge out and leak.

Manufacturer suggested trying silicone glue from inside the shell to block the leak. I will give it a shot
In the first picture, it looks like there is a crack in the housing. If so, no amount of sealant will stop that leak, sorry.
That’s what I thought first. But, when I opened it I confirmed there is no crack. It is only 2 years old pump. I know the water stains makes it look bad.
