the the question is: if I add my recommeded (pool math app) amount of salt this afternoon. How long before I do a follow up salt test for it to be accurate using my Taylor K-1766 ?

Measure the amount of salt presently in the pool water before you add any.
After the add, mix/brush until all salt is dissolved, run pump continuously and test salt level 24 hours later. Do NOT run the SWG until at least 24 hours after last add.
