Hi everybody, I haven't checked in for a while. I have the IntelliChem 522621 on the way and I'm looking forward to installing it in my system in the next week or 2.
Adding the intellichem to my system (Intellicenter and IC40 swg)

If your pool is covered it may work for you. Otherwise, not a good idea.

I have a cover but it's not always closed, can you tell me why that makes a difference? It seemed like it'd add small amounts of acid all the time rather than me adding larger amounts, I'm also looking forward to the pH & ORP graphs that'll be on my Intellicenter app

The Intellichem uses ORP to control the SWCG. To use ORP, your CYA must be less than 30 ppm. You will have trouble controlling the FC (ORP). You can disable the ORP control. Which you will likely do quickly.
Acid addition will be nice. But unless the home is not occupied, it is not a big deal to add acid once or twice a week for the three months you will have high fill water rates. Really depends on the TA of your fill water.
