Addind DE to Sand Filter

You may want to look in adding a DE alternative to the sand filter. I used Fiber Clear, and "WOW", what a difference. It took about one week before the water looked real polished. Purchased on E-Bay and the 3 lb. bag will last about 5-8 years, based on my pool. All depends on backwashing.

Don't want to steal the thread. But, how much fiber clear do you add to a standard sand filter? I'm new to this and haven't heard about additives to sand filters.
