About to use tf100 for first time!!

Last night I tested FC and it was at 6. So added correct amount to bring it up to 10. Waited probably an hour retested and it was at 11.5. Went to bed and woke up before any sun came out and retested. FC was 11!!!!!!!YES!!!! CYA was still about 20. So I added the correct amount to bring it to 30 in a sock this morning. I'll check cya later today and report back.

Oh yeah. Can see the bottom clearly. Did a test last night into this morning. FC last night 9.5. FC this morning 9.5! I'd say that's good lol. Did a test this evening (10pm) after everyone swam.
FC-11 {I added bleach around 4pm to bring FC from 5 to 10}
CC-.5
pH-8 (added MA)
TA-150
CH-300.
I will test for CYA tomorrow when the sun is out. I'll report back. Thanks everyone for the help.

Indeed. Let this be your guide, modify to suit your needs. Your target FC for your CYA of 40 (you did round up to the next multiple of ten if it was between multiples, right?) can be found [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA].

To avoid having to SLAM Process keep FC above min, ideally in target. Before bad storms and heavy bather load, bump the FC a few. It is still safe to swim up to shock level on that chart.

Questions?

Yes I did round up. I tested the same water about 10 times lol. It was around 35-40 everytime. Awesome. How often should I test everything? What should I test daily? How often should I run the pump daily?

Also... I'm leaving for vacation Sunday and coming back the following weekend. I have someone that lives close that could help with chemicals but not able to test. Should I have them put in half gallon of bleach daily? Anything else I should have them do? Let the pump run 24/7 while I'm gone?

The easiest thing to do is to bring your FC level up to SLAM level right before you leave. Then you could have a friend / neighbor stop by every other or third day and add a half gallon on bleach. That would hold you over nicely until you return. FC will drift down but still be well above your minimum FC level when you return to nice clear water. Leave your pump run 24/7 if its not on a timer.
