Its 640 gallons-the jug of Pool Essentials Chlorine (10%) said about 3oz of chlorine. The test strips said it was borderline OK, but Im thinking it needs more chlorine. I have been covering it too= is that good or bad? Been running the pump about an hour a day. but, the FLOW gets weak quickly and the filter seems clogged. Not much trash at all, but I think its like a film. I wash/scrub/rinse and it its good again, but hoping I need more chlorine to keep that slim from coating the filter?
A little slime especially on the outer bottom of my Intex 8' round pool- and the pump slows down quickly.

With your size pool, you need to drain it, clean it, and refill it.
