A Houston Pool Build Inside the Loop

Okay. Just heard from the PM and the paver guys will be back tomorrow, 7:30 am, to work. The new ones were delivered around 11 am today. As soon as we pick a scupper, then the tile guys will come and install the travertine on the back wall.

Yes, the pavers match. Well they match as well as can be expected since the originals are weathered.
After holding up both scuppers to the back wall, hubby decided he like the Sonrisa (aka urinal-ly) the best. He thought the Polynesia was too small. So Sonrisa it is!

Well I already have a plan to help keep it clean just in case he picked that one. You will just have to run it every day and if/when it will be sitting for any time without movement you can just add and thimble full of bleach to the water in it.

Hi Marla! Catching up-

Good catch and a real stand up PB on the paver mixup! I'm so glad that all worked out. I do love your pavers. I have always loved that kind of look.

THE BRASS!! Oh my! It is gorgeous! I must admit, the hot metal concerns me a little- I'm a barefoot person, too. But maybe if your PB does them "standard", maybe it's not an issue.

The scuppers- I like both, but my vote is for the sonrisa. What size are they? How many are you doing? I'm eager to see how your finished wall looks with them since they are similar to what I am looking at. Do you mind telling me the dimensions of your wall. It will give me an idea of the scale for mine - if you don't mind and have time...

Denise, thanks for catching up! We will have 3 scuppers. The Sonrisa is 14.5" in length and depth is 7.25". There wasn't any height posted. i will need to go look at the plans to for the back wall dimension. I know it's 18" above the ground and the pillars are 21".
Okay, went and checked. It's about 9.5' long between the pillars and about 3.5" high from the bench. The end columns are 22" square. Hope this helps you!
