I bought an adapter that screws into my backwash line on my DE Filter and a backwash hose from Lowes. It's probably not the best, but it serves the purpose for under $10.
If on the other hand you are more of a money is no object guy there is fire hose on Ebay that will last forever. I read a post of someone using it and cost about $50 http://www.ebay.com/sch/Fire-Hoses-/57020/i.html
Getting a quality water pump discharge hose at Menards, FleetFarm, NorthernTool or .... might be an option too if you are looking for something of better quality that will last.
I'd do that but I keep running over my hose with my rider and I can afford to replace the cheap ones when they are too short (often ).
