If you had algae and were testing to see if your done with the SLAM, I would say to do an OCLT at SLAM level or close to it.
To just do an OCLT to confirm there is nothing consuming chlorine you can do that at normal FC levels or slightly higher. ?
Just curious, loss of FC is to be 1ppm or less for OCLT. Then something other than daylight is consuming chlorine, correct? I guess it is minimal and safe?
Correct. If you lose more than 1ppm of FC over night then something other than sunlight is consuming it. You can still lose a little and be good on the OCLT.
