Yes, I got that... Chris, you probably keep everyone laughing, don't you? You seem the most jovial together guy (not unlike Santa). Didn't you scrape your poor knees up doing that stunt!? And I can only imagine how often you practiced that.

Rock on Walrus man, Rock on!!

Wow. I’ve gone dark for a month. Lol. Soooooo many hours at work. Sometimes only 30 minutes in the pool with family then off to bed. So an update on the project..... Everything has been awesome. We’ve missed only 5 days in the pool since May 7th. All equipment is running great. We always, without exception swim in the high 80’s and have only spent about $300 on natural gas. The couple times we have forgotten to put solar cover on at night.....we spend way more on gas the next day. :) The choice to do a smaller pool with a big heater and filter was the right choice. Filter gauge has not moved off 6 psi which tells me, one cleaning at the end of each season is all we will need. Also, love the big heater and that 4 or 5 degree per hour recovery. It has allowed us to watch the forecast and make last minute decisions on whether or not we will swim that day.
Not testing water very often but when I do, it’s usually almost perfect and I only have to do slight tweaks. I have the salt cell and pump run time set perfect for our pool. Gonna swim until the end of September at the very least. It’s been a crazy nice summer for our new pool.

Can I get fries with that??

I was just thinking about annoying you via email or pm- great timing buddy!!

No need to email or PM. I can just look back on your previous posts to be annoyed. lol

Sad to hear of too much time spent on work though :(

Ya. Not a fan of doing a typical 12 months worth of hours in 8 months but I only have me to blame. :)

What's your next project and can we watch along??

You will have to join another forum for that. lol

Still using the pool and loving it!

We have had frost at night so when I winterized my lawn sprinklers yesterday I blew out the auto fill valve and line.

Winter safety cover will be in soon and I expect to shut the pool down in 2 to 3 weeks pending weather.

Worked on my little canopy to keep snow and rain off the control units. Aluminum frame, wood sheathing and will have a sheet of white coroplast as a water proofing membrane. My air temp sensor has been relocated under the canopy.

I have absolutely no regrets in going with a smaller pool or what I refer too as the biggest hot tub in town. :)

Love the low heating costs.

Cheers.

Will you leave your pump in place or bring it inside for the winter? I’ve become a fan of bringing mine inside after it seizing up from moisture.

I guess that’s a wrap. Shocked the pool this week. Got cover on today. My robot is still in there. After it does a cycle I will clean it out and stick in the basement for the winter. If we get a ton of rain between now and the big freeze, I will pop the corner of the cover and drop it a bit. Cheers.
