This wasn't the sale price either. Not sure why it went up.I was at Walmart today to get some ant bait and picked up 4 gallons of the 10% pool chlorine. After I got to the car I checked my receipt and apparently the sale is OVER! Back to $3.64 / galale:
It was $3.64 at my walmart for some time, and then marked down as a sale to $2.50. Not sure if it's gone back up yet, I haven't checked for a while. This wasn't the sale price either. Not sure why it went up.

My Walmart had the chlorine on rollback on Sunday for $2.50 but when I went to get some yesterday it was back up to $3.64.![]()
It's the same exact chemical, sodium hypochlorite. The difference is the concentration, Walmart chlorine is 10% where bleach is usually 6%-8%.Our local Walmart has them for $2.50 on Roll Back as well. Would this Chlorine be better then bleach for the pool? im getting little mixed because of the active ingredients tend to be lower in bleach vs chlorine. what is better?
I think this is very location specific. 12.5% from the pool store here is $2.90/gal in 5 gallon carboys and they deliver it for free, I guess I could shop around though.Everybody going to walmart, target and every other big box in the country; local pool store in 2.5 gallon 12.5% is always under $2.00/gal. I can see a 2 for 1 sale being good, but ya'll are paying a lot for chlorine. But, this is FL and have 6 pool stores (pinch, leslies, etc.) within 5 miles of my house - pinch is only mile away. Can't see fighting walmart crowds, unless it was a sale or I needed 25 gallons for a SuperSlam
Yeah, no pool stores in Texas (or at least Austin) sell 12%. The 2 I've visited (Leslie's and O'Neill's) has box of 4 gallons of 10% for $18. Walmart at their higher price is better than that. But if Walmart 10% isn't $2.50, I buy Target 8% at about $2.65 (5% off).Everybody going to walmart, target and every other big box in the country; local pool store in 2.5 gallon 12.5% is always under $2.00/gal.
