1st Pool Build - Freeport, TX

Thanks for sharing the link. These look really neat! Did you choose the cool white option or the warm white? I've bookmarked your link and might try to figure out how we can use these around our pool. They really added a great touch to your pool environment.

We chose the cool white since our flood lights are also LED and it would be more consistent in whiteness. We are considering expanding our upstairs deck and I would consider installing these LED lights along the underside of the hand rails to add more lighting.

I'm doing the same thing, Jamie!

Hey Tex, can you show us some shots of how you have them installed close up, and where your placement of the power supply is? Thanks!

I mounted the led light strips using 3M double-sided outdoor tape along the underside of the top fence rail for the full length of the led strip. I went this route since the vinyl fencing has a smooth surface. But included with the led lights are screw down brackets that you can use instead. I ran the power line into the garage to the power supply which is temporarily sitting on a shelf above the pool pump. I plan on mounting the power supply inside a grounded box just for safe keeping. Everything is controlled using the wireless remote. I'll try to remember to take pics this weekend.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. The pictures would be great when you have time. I told my husband about the lights. He's afraid the neighbors will hate us. Lol!
