First timer at buying fireplace logs. This will be for an outdoor fireplace fueled by propane. The choices are kinda overwhelming...vented/vent-free, remotes, thermostatic, styles, etc...

Anyone have any insight? What's best for outdoor fireplace?

We're not expecting a bunch of heat but a little would be nice. Not having to use a match or handheld lighter would be good.

It's going to be that time of year soon.

Thanks

We have indoor gas logs which use a little remote control. Handy!

The logs are just decorative for the most part- the fuel part sits under them. Some even allow for some small glass or fake embers to sit around the logs which then heat up and look nice.

I would make sure which ever you buy it is intended for propane. I think there is some difference in the burner, but I could be "mis-remembering" lol.

You really don't need to worry about vented/non-vented since its sitting outside. I *think* you'll get more heat from the non-vented type.
