well hard as a rock clay is not what i expected. the skid steer couldnt skim it without digging down too deep and creating wavy spots. Lucky for me i had these forks for it and used them going side to side to chip it all down. then it rained and was able to compact it back down where needed. within an inch of level now.
Setting pavers. 11" away from pool bottom on center.

Looking good! It is helpful to use mason's string to mark the outline and make sure all the pavers are straight.
I have that same kind of clay soil that is as hard as concrete. Concrete usually uses smaller rocks in the mix, though.
got all the pavers set to within 1/4" and 1st layer of sand. compacter coming tomorrow.

I'm thinking you should get pavers as wide or wider than the support legs, I saw a thread where the center piece of the support wrapped around the paver and bent from all the weight. Looks good.
Yeah, I remember that one. You need to dig the pavers down flush with the surface.

ya they are close. i dont know how they come up with the 11" away measurement in center
