The solar cover will slow or stop your CC from breaking down. Need the UV from the sun to tackle those for you. Also I feel like the higher FC may have an effect on the thin plastic of the solar cover, but can't say for sure.

Yesterday!! I could see the pattern in the shallow end. And the DE filter doesn't clog in the first 20 min of running.

A couple hours, maybe less. You're okay up to shock level and you shouldn't be much more than that when you finish the SLAM.
The pH might be whacked since you haven't checked it in a while, but that isn't toxic, either.
