I was wanting to know if u knew why my heater says it's at temperature when it hasn't been on at all! So it won't let me trun it on at all!

Can we have a little more info on your heater please. What kind it is? How old is it? When did this happen? Is this a pool heater or a spa heater?

I'm not sure how old it is we just bought the house with it and it's for both pool and spa!im not sure what model it is but it's a sta- rite! Where could I find the model on it?

When you turn on pump the heater display will go through a short startup procedure then will display current water temp. If this is close to actual temp and you have set a higher temp, the heater fan will come on and after 30-45secs the heater will fire. Is there any lights on display like service heater or service system on?
Well no lites come on to service! I didn't hear a fan come on! Also the heat temp goes up only to 104 and it's displays at 117! So I'm not sure wat would cause that!
Now not knowing the model will any thermistor compatible with sta rite heaters?

I have a question? Does any one know how to heat the spa with out it over flowing to the pool?
